#BookWorm: Dark Places

Hey fellow readers,

So I just finished Dark Places by Gillian Flynn, the same author as Gone Girl and all I can say is dang there are some messed up minds in this world and Gillian Flynn is the owner of one. All of her books are weird. And I don't mean weird like aliens and spaceships or kitties playing guitars I mean WEIRD like straight out of your worst nightmare and then scarier. To be straight up honest, her books are f***ed up. Like really. So this book is about a girl named Libby who's family was murdered supposedly by her brother but no one really knows. As she grows up, years later she starts to second guess her testimony against her brother and tries to find out if her story was wrong or right. A complex and compelling story, however very odd. Like some things the author comes up with you're just thinking "dang you have some messed up thoughts running through your brain about people's lives".
Overall I really enjoyed the book. It didn't seem dragging or repetitive, and I never thought "okay how much more ridiculous could this book get" like I did with Gone Girl (because srsly guys that book was straight up crazy). I would give it a 7.5/10 because it wasn't THE BEST BOOK EVER. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't mind blowing good like Nineteen Minutes. If you liked Gillian Flynns writing style in Sharp Objects, you'd like this book. It had a similar vibe but I still liked Sharp Objects the best of the trio that Flynn has offered up to the reading world this far.

So b.t.dubbs this book has a movie. However it was only released in France? #why. Super annoying. They were supposed to release it in the US before Gone Girl and keep pushing it back. If you've read the book, they have Chloe Grace Mortez from If I Stay as Diondra. Lol no. Maybe that's why they haven't released it yet. Next up on my list is the second Maze Runner book The Scortch Trials which I'm excited about! So have you guys read anything worth adding to my list? Or have you read any of Gillian Flynns book and have a difference of opinion? Let me know!

Thanks for reading with me,
Olivia

My Random Addictions: Taking Senior Portraits

Hey everyone!

How is it possibly that time of year again?  I swear I JUST was writing about Reegan graduating last May, and now Madi graduated from USF! So proud. But for real graduation is always a bittersweet time. For me this year it's very bittersweet as some of the most amazing USF students are graduating this semester. One of my favorite things to do this time of year is take senior pictures! From high school seniors to college grads I LOVE capturing this monumental moment in everyone's lives! I love taking USF pictures because our campus is sooooo beautiful, but recently did a high school seniors shots at the University of Tampa and it was also beautiful! I love brick and their amazing dome buildings!

Here are some of my favorite shots:

Do you have favorite shots of your graduate? I'd love to see them! If you are or have an upcoming senior I would love to take grad pictures! It's one of my favorite things to do :) Sorry for the sparse posts this year! After the wedding I will have so much more time to read, do DIY projects, and travel the world so stay tuned :)

Thanks for keeping up!
